Laboratory ventilation square duct is a polypropylene (PP) air duct with flange reinforcement design, made for lab exhaust and exhaust gas treatment duct runs. It is a square-section duct used in laboratory ventilation systems: hoisted above the ceiling, connected to exhaust points such as fume hoods, universal hoods and medicine cabinets through branch pipes, and exhausted at the end by a PP induced draft fan.

Flange reinforcement gives the sections stable joints and good compression resistance, and PP’s acid and alkali resistance suits the corrosive gases common in laboratory exhaust. The duct is available in standard PP or flame retardant PPs, with socket or flange connections, in sizes confirmed per project. Material & Performance

  • Acid and alkali resistance: PP withstands corrosion by high-concentration acids and alkalis across a wide pH range (pH 1-14), preventing secondary chemical reactions between the exhaust medium and the duct body.
